Bandit Biosystems has introduced five multiplex qPCR panels for research on pathogens in specimens from veterinary sources. The line covers canine and feline enteric and respiratory targets and the dermatophytes associated with ringworm. Each panel is paired with a matched master mix, and each runs on widely used open qPCR instruments.
| Panel | Targets | Tubes | Kit PN | Master mix PN |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Canine Enteric Pathogen qPCR Panel | 13 | 4 | 500053 | 500055 |
| Canine Respiratory XL qPCR Panel | 11 | 3 | 500043 | 500044 |
| Feline Enteric Pathogen qPCR Panel | 11 | 3 | 500054 | 500044 |
| Feline Respiratory XL qPCR Panel | 6 | 2 | 500045 | 500046 |
| Ringworm qPCR Panel | 2 | 1 | 500041 | 500042 |
Target counts exclude internal controls.
How the panels work
- Multiplex detection. Bacterial, parasitic, viral and fungal targets are grouped across one to four tubes, read on FAM, HEX, Cy5 and ROX.
- Built-in control. A SPRY1 multi-species internal control monitors extraction and amplification.
- Matched master mixes. RT-qPCR master mixes for the enteric and respiratory panels and a qPCR master mix for the ringworm panel.
- 100 reactions per kit, with positive controls included.
- Open instruments, including the Bio-Rad CFX96, CFX384 and CFX Opus, Roche LightCycler 480, and Applied Biosystems QuantStudio and 7500 series.
